And yes, this isn't what I want because I want still be able to recover
files with amanda from this tape.

If you simply take the tape out of rotation and change tapecycle to be
13, Amanda will happily go on with 13 tapes.  You could even edit the
tapelist file and change the line for the removed tape to be "no-reuse".
This would prevent Amanda from unintentionally using the tape should the
tape accidentally get loaded back into the drive at some point.

Just to clearify things. Taking the tape out of rotation just means:
Do not insert it again.

For example:
If I take DailySet107 out of rotation then I just have to enter
DailySet108 when Amanda requires DailySet107, right?

If this is true, then personally I would always use this with no-reuse
because it makes things clear and prevents errors.
