While trying things out I ran amadmin's find command. Depending on the host and disk specified it reports some logfiles not found for 2 - 7 tapes. Here are some sample warning lines:
Warning: no log files found for tape Daily-025 written 2010-09-03 03:08:02 Warning: no log files found for tape Daily-024 written 2010-09-03 03:08:02 Warning: no log files found for tape Daily-013 written 2010-08-29 18:42:51 Warning: no log files found for tape Daily-009 written 2010-08-28 22:58:48 The logfiles are there and they contain info about the tapes listed. I'm beginning to think the warnings are poorly worded. I suspect they really mean that the DLE I asked about is not found on those particular tapes. Can anyone corroborate my suspicions? Jon PS found an amusing set of messages in the reports. In the lines showing the chunks which were taped the last column is a Status. Most entries said "OK". There were a few FAIL. But then I noticed "PARTIAL OK" and elsewhere "OK PARTIAL". What the difference was in the last two I don't know. But the really good status was "PARTIAL PARTIAL". :) I'm stumped. -- Jon H.
