I appreciate if someone can answer the following
question.
If there is a tape drive on a FC-SAN system, there
can be plural servers that can access the tape drive.
In this case, if plural amanda servers access the
tape drive simultaneously, Which case will happen?
(1) Every amanda server can access the tape drive.
But the requests from the servers are processed
in order of arrival to the tape drive.
It can break the plans of some servers.
(2) Every amanda server can access the tape drive.
The requests from the servers are properly
splited and sorted before the tape drive procsses
them. So each amanda server can achive consistent
operations.
(3) The only one sever can access the tape drive.
The rest servers requests are refused.
If there is difference between 2.X and 3.X in this point,
I would like to also know it.
