New installation
Amanda 3.3.0 installed on openSUSE 12.1 (Asparagus) (x86_64)

log shows that I'm unable to bind a port between 512 and 1023

I've checked online and find no clear solution. This isn't the error
in /etc/services someone reported, its seemingly not a poor selection
for the TCP port range, though it seemingly acts like it is.
Your help is apreciated.
