Jean-Louis - thank you for taking the time to look into my proble,. On Dec 4, 2012, at 9:30 AM, Jean-Louis Martineau <[email protected]> wrote: > > Do the dumptype allow-split is set? > amadmin CONF disklist >
Do you mean in the original dump to vtapes? Since this is an amvault it doesn't really use the dumptype definition, is my understanding. However, no the original dumps were not split. I have a few dumptypes, but they all inherit a global dumptype that does not have allow-split set explictly. However, I thought that it defaulted to yes? If I need to change this so that amvault will work, I can. I've never used the amvault process before so some things may be a little confusing to me still. I can send you our entire configuration separately from the list if that would help. I certainly appreciate any help you can give. > Can you post the lines from the debug files that are before the error, I want > to know how the transfer was started. > Sure - is this enough? It looks to me like it's splitting OK into 80G parts: "Amanda::Taper::Scribe preparing to write, part size 85899345920, using no cache". By the way, our tape system *should* support LEOM, but I turned that off to see if that was the problem I ran into since last time I got an error about EOM being encountered and I figured it should've been warned.
