Hi Amanda users,
I'm running Amanda 3.1.2 on Solaris x86 and I'm trying to add
several linux clients. Linux version varies but the problems
are all similar, so I will select a specific instance.

Amcheck runs ok, but amdump fails.
I'd thought it was, well, I think I have good reason to believe
its the network authentication, so per articles I googled I
added server_args to /etc/xinetd.d/amanda, which now reads
service amanda

server = /usr/lib64/amanda/amandad

}
The failure seems to be shown in the tail end of the amandad
debug file, included here in its entirety.
