(You may not want to get into changing your setup at this stage, but
note that the usual configuration runs most of the Amanda software as
the non-priviledge backup/amanda user, but the actual
backing-up-of-files is done by suid applications [runtar, amgtar, etc.],
so that part of the process does have full access to all the files on
the systems....)
