This is for localhost, - btw - I have also tried localhost.localdomain and the

Do amandad is executed? It should create debug files in /var/log/amanda/amandad
If not, check xinetd configuration and system log to find why.
If amandad is executed, check its debug file

All - Upgraded amanda to version 3.5.1 - all client backups are succeeding but
localhost is failing.
