I remember that the documentation contained a warning about that. Holding disk 
should be an entirely own Space. Tape disk either.

I would try to get another disk, maybe USB or network storage as a second 
holding disk, move all files from the current holding disk there, change the 
configuration File appropriately and try amflush. 

If you are using LVM on that box, you might have luck to be able to reconfigure 
the filesystems to have two separate storage areas. 

Please double check, if there are files from other processes on that disk, 11 
TB are somewhat more space than 30 Tapes with 5GB each will consume.
