And you are able to run an "amcheck" without getting any error using
this new build?
Given that (unlike on Gene's system) all of your directories up through
/usr/local/etc/ are 0:0 and 755, I would expect amcheck to be happy with
the security-file path being "/usr/local/etc/amanda-security.conf" ... but
since /usr/local/etc/amanda/ is not owned by root, I would expect
amcheck to complain when the security-file path is
"/usr/local/etc/amanda/amanda-security.conf"....
(You are also running Amanda 3.5, right?)
