I’ve no particular knowledge of this, so this is just suggestion - until
somebody with better
ideas comes along.
I suspect amanda does not like to leave things in her holding disk. She puts
them to
tape (vtape) and then is done with them …. or she doesn’t, and the taping is
pending.
How about a cronjob to copy the tarballs from the vtape to another disk (NOT
the
holding disk, tho it could be a directory on the same disk but not in the
holding area).
Sync that area, and delete when done (if desired).
