Argh. Our last set of amanda-backup-client packages are available but we are missing some of the list below at our site as the Solaris didn’t pass some tests yet (install dependencies).
Pretty soon now. From: Chris Hassell Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2020 10:05 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Zmanda/Amanda: current support list and some new work .... Just to keep up-to-date after a long effort … I’m working currently on these areas and have finally gotten out of config-mgmt / packaging…. · NDMP: begun to change static max-length arrays to glib dynamic ones, remove C warnings. · NDMP: going to rewrite very-very-large file-backup/restore lists as multiple restore operations. [far faster for NetApp] · Possibly add explicit symbol versions (i.e. to link to config_init@AMANDA_3.5<mailto:config_init@AMANDA_3.5> and later add config_init@@AMANDA_4.0 as default) · Of course … all the Linux versions for all the builds… everywhere, also using all 5000 installcheck/integration tests. All passing so far. Current platforms we’re on/built for (client only): [no groaning over 32-bit, plz :-] · Fedora 28,29,30,31 (+ 28,29,30 in 32-bit) · Centos/RHEL 6,7,8 (+ 6,7 in 32-bit) · SLES 11,12,15 (+ 11 in 32-bit) · Debian 8,9,10 (+ all in 32-bit) · Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04, 19.04, 19.10 (+ 16.04 in 32-bit) · Solaris 10 (32-bit) with some non-Oracle CSW/pkgutil deps · Solaris 11 (64-bit) with pkg-based deps All the Linux/64-bit systems above are valid for our server builds/tests as well. Maybe Solaris 11 for a server build at some point, too. We do want to know: any other platforms or packaging that is needed out there for backup clients?
