My server have 3 amanda configs where the storage is vTapes, no problem here, including amrecover. In one of the configs I am using a tape robot for vaulting the vTapes to phisical ones. No problem with amvault command. When I was to recover some real data that was old enough to be present on the vault tapes, that I found that amrecover is failing to use the tape with an error of something like "permission denied" of the tape device. As user root and backup (amanda user on Debian) can use the tape, I do not know what is the problem. > > Cheers, > Nuno Kind regards Jose M Calhariz > > On Sat, 2025-03-08 at 20:44 +0000, Jose M Calhariz wrote: > > Hi, > > > > While preparing a new package for Debian of amanda 3.5.4, I made > > several tests with a compile for Debian v12.
