Yes, the "-o smtp_send_xforward_command=yes" should be enough to persuade Postfix to feed the xforward information to amavisd. Is your Postfix recent enough that it supports xforward? At log level 4 or above you should be able to observe the SMTP (or LMTP) protocol between Postfix and amavisd, check that the XFORWARD is used and that ADDR attribute is passed: amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) LMTP< RSET\r\n amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) LMTP> 250 2.0.0 Ok RSET amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) prolong_timer after reading SMTP command: remaining time = 60 s amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) LMTP< XFORWARD NAME=p5499B1F3.dip.t-dialin.net ADDR=84.153.177.243\r\n amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) LMTP> 250 2.5.0 Ok XFORWARD amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) prolong_timer after reading SMTP command: remaining time = 60 s amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) LMTP< XFORWARD PROTO=SMTP HELO=jigzaw.com\r\n amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) LMTP> 250 2.5.0 Ok XFORWARD amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) prolong_timer after reading SMTP command: remaining time = 60 s amavis[13840]: (13840-01-7) LMTP< MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> SIZE=3758\r\n Mark ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
