I think you will find that with a GIG of RAM, you could easily go to 10 or 15, and if you add another GIG - that would be good. Did you spend some time optimizing SpamAssassin (and Bayes)? Can we see your local.cf please. Are you using custom SpamAssassin rule sets? What is your memory usage like at the moment? Are you using Pyzor?
