Hello,

I'm using SA with amavisd-new to reduce spam and only now I'm reading a few
of documentation about SA...

I have some questions:

1) from README of SA:

...

The distribution provides "spamassassin", a command line tool to
perform filtering, along with the "Mail::SpamAssassin" module set
which allows SpamAssassin to be used in spam-protection proxy SMTP or
POP/IMAP server, or a variety of different spam-blocking scenarios.

In addition, "spamd", a daemonized version of SpamAssassin which
runs persistently, is available. Using its counterpart, "spamc",
a lightweight client written in C, an MTA can process large volumes of
mail through SpamAssassin without having to fork/exec a perl interpreter
for each message.
...
My question is: "What Amavisd-new uses? Spamassassin, spamd or spamc?".
Another qiestion is: "Can I configure Amavisd-new to use spamc? (It should
be more effecient to analyze messages.. Or no?)

2) I have the default 'local.cf' configuration file for SA. Do SA uses the
auto learning feature by default? If not How can I set that feature? Do I
use sa-learn to initialize a db? Do I use a particular mailbox user to
initialize a db? Can I share the db for all incoming/outgoing mail, apart
from user?

BR,

rocsca
