I think the pseudo-DSPAM support is just confusing to amavisd-new people, and it no longer serves any useful purpose now that there is a DSPAM daemon mode. There's no advantage to pre-loading dspam like there is with SA, so why bother? DSPAM has an excellent LMTP daemon mode, which is easily tied into Postfix, which can support all of the DSPAM configuration possibilities. amavisd-new DSPAM support is a waste of your time IMO. The amavisd-new documentation should just recommend running amavisd-new first, then setting the Postfix re-injection port to have DSPAM as its content-filter. Then the user creates another re-injection port for DSPAM. Refer to DSPAM documentation for any further details. > I gladly would, but until there is a dependable Perl module for client-side > LMTP, I'm not volunteering to write one of to fix the existing one. Having an extra postfix listener is no problem at all. --- Chris Covington IT Plus One Health Management 75 Maiden Lane Suite 801 NY, NY 10038 646-312-6269 http://www.plusoneactive.com ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
