I'm not an expert so I mostly work with apt-get in my Debian box, so I didn't realized the package was that old. Since I received you email I'm trying to install the newest version of amavis (amavisd-new-2.4.2.tar.gz). I didn't found deb packages so I decided to follow the INSTALL instructions, althought I don't really understand most of the procedures. I got to the point of testing it and every works fine!
