Hi, thanks a lot for all your answers. My first problem is that I don't have an amavis logfile so I have to work with the .gz files on the disk.Amavis worked fine for several month but a Gentoo update basically screwed up the config (without me noticing). Anyway, I tried this:
# zgrep '^X-Envelope-To: ' /var/amavis/quarantine/* | grep 'mydomain.com' | grep 'spam-' | cut -c 24-43 >>list This command results in "-bash: /bin/zgrep: Argument list too long" as zgrep is unable to cope with 8000 input files I'd say. Thus I tried to use xargs and find but I couldn't work out a command which runs fine. Would somebody be able to give me a hand on this? Thank you.
