Thanks Mark,

I missed setting the correct quarantine_method. Now it is working.

Back to the LDAP issue. As you pointed out, this is not an amavis issue.
I can do the Authentication against AD in a webinterface and then
use a SQL query to select what's in the user quarantine area.
With authentication I mean the right to acces data in the quarantine area.
Proxyadresses in AD terms is mail aliases.

One issue we work on, is the ability to trace mail send to a specific user.
We quite often get the question "where is a mail sent from...." and why
haven'nt i received mail from ....

Right now we use a system MailTracker developed by a danish company
catpipe systems. This is based on always_bcc in postfix and we have
put a simple webinterface upon theese data.

We have been using Maia for the past 4 years and this is working quite well
but in my experience it's overkill from the enduser point. They would like
to have a very very simple interface, maybee just the abililty to release mail
from
quarantine area in the same interface that show trace of mail.

The postfix always_bcc don't log information on SPAM issues but I see that
this is possible from within amavisd-new.

Seems you have a string 'sql:mysql' in some *quarantine_to* setting, instead of
in a *quarantine_method. Show your exact *quarantine_to and *quarantine_method*
settings.

What is a proxy address in this context? An alias?
An alternative sending addresses? Both?

Authenticating? You mean access to IMAP/POP3 and a right to mail submission, or
something else?

Perhaps authenticating for access to a SQL quarantine?
If so, this is outside the scope of amavisd, check MailZu quarantine management.

I'm not sure I fully understand the question. Maia and amavisd-new used to have
the same functionality regarding LDAP lookups, so if it is possible in Maia, it
should be possible in amavisd-new, unless things changed recently. If you would
like to have all recipient's alias addresses to access the same set of LDAP
settings, it should be possible to do so with and appropriate expression in
query_filter (see README.ldap). If you have something else in mind, please
explain.

  Mark
