You are invited to:
Cornerhouse, Thursday 27 Feb, 7.00pm
Book Launch: Urban Cycles

Urban Cycles was an artist-led initiative and collaboration instigated by
curator Galina Dimitrova, between ten artists from interspace M.A.C. Sofia,
Bulgaria and Manchester, UK. The results were interactive video
installations sited at The National Palace of Culture, Sofia, and
Library Walk, Manchester between 2000 and 2002. In each installation, the
artist presented their own personal response to the technical platform and
site, inviting audiences to participate in different ways with publicly
sited works.
The bi-lingual publication (English/Bulgarian) offers insight into the
creative and political processes that shaped Urban Cycles.
Participating artists and co-editors Anneke Pettican and Steve Symons will
give an informal presentation on this artistic and cultural exchange and its
resulting publication.

Artists in Urban Cycles: Maria Berova, Nikolay Chakarov, Jenna Collins,
Petko Dourmana, Adele Myers, Gary Peploe, Anneke Pettican, Jen Southern,
Steve Symons, Krassimir Terziev.
