: New Media Residency

New Media ResidencyISIS Arts is seeking to appoint a new media artist in
residence. The year long project is based at five Spaces for Sports and Arts
Schools in Northumberland. There is a fee of �12000 for a 100 days minimum
plus �250 travel allowance

The new media artist will work across all schools, with 5 artists on short
term projects, in different artforms. All the schools have expressed an
interest in developing the use of new technology and extending their skills
in this area.

The new media artist will run workshops with schools and identified
community groups linked to each facility, produce their own work, and curate
and produce work for exhibition and presentation. The artist will have 95
days in total to spend on this project, this time will be divided as 60
workshop days, 20 preparation, evaluation and presentation days and 15 days
on their own work.

The residency will take place between May 2003 - March 2004

Full details of the artist's brief are included in the attachment and the
deadline for submission is March 28th. The brief  can also be downloaded
from the ISIS website www.isisarts.org.uk
