Steven Dikkie has become known all manner of arts related radio transmissions from domestic barbecues in Glasgow to weeklong citywide events such as Tweeter Voice-Over with Catalyst Arts, Belfast and AgiTATE, The Blitz Festival, Manchester. He recently built upon previous forays into live video editing for gigs involving major acts like Gilles Peterson, The Scratch Perverts and The Mad Professor to produce a interactive video installation for Eartours at CCA, Glasgow. POINTLESS CREATIONS/ IGNORANT DJs : AUDIO-VISUAL LIVE SET Operating in Glasgow since 1998, Pointless Creations have provided visuals for many clubs/ free parties (Radar, Mungo's Hifi, The Unit, GlasshouseTransmission/Warp) as well as theatre projections ( Tone Clusters at the Arches). The live set consists of beatmatched manipulations of audio and 2D/ 3D graphic loops triggered from the home-made Video Switchboard controller with video and slide projections on moving screens. The Ignorant djs (Spudd, Ra and FIst) will play along "making music with their fingers" using old/ new technology and performing with their experimental needle contraptions. Pointless have recently performed at EYE-JAM (Bristol) and MACHINISTA (Russia) festivals. The Pointless/ Ignorant set is about to travel to the "Break 2.2" festival in Slovenia.
