Hi Chris has asked me to do an introduction to the list - and I have to confess that I have been 'lurking' for a while so it is about time I came to the surface.
I takes pictures and make theatre. I am also one of the four part-time Associate Curators at the CCA. I have responsibility for 'performance' which manifests primarily in the Creative Lab scheme. I have just organised for monthly 'Lab Nights' at the CCA and there is an accompanying message for anyone who wants to use them. I have just formed a new company called 'Reeling & Writhing' with Katherine Morley. We co-directed '1000 Airplanes on the Roof' at the Tron earlier this year. We have just begun work on a co-production with the Tron for a show based on the life and work of Delia Derbyshire, the electro-acoustic composer from the 60s. Delia created an incredible body of innovative work but will always be best known for her creation of the 'Dr Who' theme. The project will include responses to Delia's work to be hosted on-line. If anyone is interested in this project we would be delighted to hear from you. We have other projects on the go but this is the one that is nearest to actually happening. In case you have a look at my web site I should point that out that it was primarily created to attract commercial photography work. As that work diminishes I am starting to migrate in work that is more of me. I moved to Glasgow in February this year because I love it here.
