Interestingly, First Minister Jack McConnell chose to make a speech on culture today, to mark St. Andrew's Day:

Ex-Chairman of SAC, Magnus Linklater, commented that words need to be backed with deeds:

Could someone with insight into the current developments of forming a
singular non arms-length 'Culture' organ (combining SAC, Scottish
Screen, etc.) please inform us as to what's going on?

Has anyone been consulted over proposed changes and just what they are?

Am I wrong in thinking these events are probably related?
