Cutting edge new media, banjo -playing beardies, contemporary angst,
shortbread....

Aye, but where is the digital art in Scotland's Culture? New media? Media art? Maybe some video art? I thought I'd try a search, and I got these responses...

'Sorry, could not find anything matching digital art'

A search for 'media art' brought up an interesting, if traditional form of media art:
'Edinburgh International Book Festival'

The keyword 'video art' brought more disappointing results:
'The Perception of Fish. Website of the rock singer Fish.'

Oh dear.

As for 'new media', apparently the only place to find this is:
'Scottish Screen'

Hmmm... I give the new portal half a point out of a possible four. Evidently we all need to start e-mailing slainte.org.uk...
