Salary Scale (�26,270 - �33,679)

The School of Television & Imaging is recognised as a major partner within the Faculty and the University and offers BA (Hons) courses in Animation & Electronic Media, Illustration, and Time Based Art as well as postgraduate programmes in Animation & Visualisation and Electronic Imaging.�The School seeks to embrace, reflect and influence the cultural economy of modern life.�This ethos of convergence underpins the development of a unique grouping of programmes within the School of Television & Imaging.

To consolidate recent expansion, the School is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to fill four academic posts.��Successful candidates will be educators and will have a thorough understanding of traditional and contemporary production processes ideally gained through exposure to commercial practice.�New appointments would normally be expected to have a postgraduate qualification and to demonstrate established research practice.

ANIMATION & ELECTRONIC MEDIA���������������������DJ/280/X

We seek a Lecturer to lead the development and delivery of the BA (Hons) course in Animation & Electronic Media.�In an age of digital convergence, we are witnessing a blurring of the boundaries between traditional moving image genres and stylistic approaches.�The animation course reflects the multifaceted nature of the subject that has many potential definitions.

ILLUSTRATION�                                    DJ/281/X

A recent programme review in the School highlighted the need for the Illustration course to take advantage of new technologies and the synergies arising through its unique alignment with Animation and Time Based Art.�The post offers an exciting opportunity to play an active part in leading the development, management and delivery of this well-established course.

TIME BASED ART�����������������������������������DJ/282/X

The Time Based Art course reflects a wide use of established and developing production processes in a variety of media.�The post offers an exciting opportunity to play an active part in leading the development, management and delivery of the course.�The successful candidate should be a contemporary media artist with a good understanding of fine art and design practices, visual expression, experimentation and structured creativity.
