60� north, The Shetland Islands have a unique cultural
heritage that will be celebrated in The New Shetland
Museum & Archives, opening in June 2006. 
�
Factors such as Shetland�s maritime tradition,
Scandinavian influences and elemental climate will
provide rich fodder for artwork in and around the
building. The scope of the public art project is
subject to confirmed funding but is expected to be
approximately �100,000.
�
Please register your interest by sending a CV, 6
images of previous work and a short response to the
word �Shetland� to the address below. Selected artists
will then be sent a full brief. A design fee and
expenses will be paid to short-listed artists.
