INTERNATIONAL VIDEO ART FAIR
LOOP, the first international fair exclusively devoted to video art, is an initiative of the Art Galleries Association Art Barcelona, which is engaged in making of Barcelona the meeting point of artists, art dealers, collectors, curators, museum managers and all kinds of public interested in video art.
From Nov. 18 to 21, 2004, the 50 rooms of the first floor at the Barcel�Hotel Sants will be occupied by 50 worldwide galleries which prior selection, will show their art works. In the same facilities, a space of 900 sq/m. will receive the video art collections of different institutions and museums. Also, different magazines and publications will have a prominent space at the fair.
LOOP�04 is concerned with the promotion of collecting by means of a patronage programme that brings together different institutions and companies (Mecenas del videoarte) that have committed themselves to buy some of the art works at the fair.
In parallel Off-LOOP-The festival will offer a series of activities that will bring video art to different spaces all over the town. Also, a series of conferences at the Mediateca de Caixaforum and a course organized by Amics dels Museus de Catalunya have been programmed.
