platform north east presents its third annual event of experimental live art, Pl tf orm00000004, bringing live art out of the gallery and into the Ouseburn Valley of Newcastle upon Tyne. 18 live art works will take place on the bank of the river Tyne, in the valley and in The Tyne, The Cluny and The Cumberland Arms public houses. The pieces have been selected from an open call and event includes an ever-increasing number of emerging and established artists who are making live work in the North East of England. This year’s event is the most ambitious to date and is marked by a move away from the familiar surroundings of the Waygood Building, to the challenge of a multi-sited affair in public spaces that will transport us into new psychological as well as geographical territories.
