Due to a mix-up in the CCA's booking system they have been telling people that some of the YOUR MACHINES workshops (the small organisations one this weekend and the audio-visual one in two weeks time) were both fully booked when in fact there are still tickets available. Anyone who was wanting to come but unable to get a ticket for these should try again.

The workshops this weekend (Saturday and Sunday 1 - 5pm) are focused on Free Software tools for small organisations and ways of doing online publication and collaboration. There will also be presentations from people working with community activist groups in Edinburgh (Pilton and Drylaw area), free networking and local online video broadcasting, as well as people from the openMUTE project who provide free web-publishing facilities for non-profit groups.

All the software we will be showing is capable of running on any platform (Linux, Macintosh and Windows), we will be providing free copies on disk and some introductory lessons to get people started using it.

The audio-video workshop (Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October) will cover tools for working with audio and video, and using free online radio and video distribution systems.

For information about all the workshops see:

If anyone still has problems getting tickets please contact me directly and I will sort it out for you:
