Brian,
I am not sure, but it sound like you pointed to the top level directory, rather than the lower level directories that actually have the data. (e.G.: c:\MetaStock Data\US Stocks\A-B) You have to do an add folder for each of these lettered subdirectories (A-B, C-D,E-H, I-L, M-N, O-Q, R-S, T-Z) It is these sub-directories that actually hold the MetaStock data. Additionally make sure you have Auto Update checked in AmiQuote. If you have to add these extra folders don't forget to Retrieve Data again.
Hope this fixes your problem. If not, give me more info and I will try to figure out what is going on. Or someone else will chime in with more experienced help.
Good Luck,
Don Lindberg

Hello Don,
Yes, that does help, thanks.
I appreciate everyone who chip in at the forums.
I have been using MS for a while and am in the process of changing
over to Ami, mainly for the very good AFL and backtesting features.
I am still learning AB.
I have an open mind and I am trying out as many of the
features/providers etc as I can.
What steps did you follow for the intitial setup?
I have my data in C/Metastock Data.
I created a new Ami database C/Program Files/Amibroker/My Reuters,
set the datasource to Metastock plugin and configured it with
C/Metastock data as the folder path and retrieved the symbols (AB
said, "done") but I don't have any data to view.
/My Reuters has the Ami setup OK (workspace files etc but all the
folders are empty).
Any suggestions?
Brian.
