I hate to this because I like Amibroker as a charting program, but
unfortunately Amibroker's latest IQFeed plugin (1.6.0) was NOT
thoroughly tested.

I reported a SEVERE bug in January of this year, which occurs when the
plugin is used in daily mode and not in intraday mode.

Initially I reported the bug here on this mailing list, not to blame
TJ but to see whether other users were experiencing the same problem.
Later in January I also sent a detailed description to Amibroker
customer service.

This critical bug has been left unfixed for more than 6 months now,
which means that IQFeed in daily mode can only be used with the old
IQFeed plugin 1.5.5 and the outdated IQFeed API 2.3.0.1.

I can also confirm this (important) problem. It's a wellknown problem
which occurred already with older IQFeed plugin and IQFeed API
versions. As for this bug, TJ claimed that the 'wait for backfill'
problem is caused by the IQFeed client connector. He could possibly
be right. Still, it is a question why there aren't many posts
regarding this misbehavior on the IQFeed developer support board.

If Jay F. of IQFeed reads this: I would need the IQFeed API to make
backfill tests myself (with the Java client). But the price of
$300/year is way too expensive for me as I do not sell a commercial
software product.
