AB already provides means to create custom buttons and call external programs
(see custom tools menu and customization features described in the user's guide
http://www.amibroker.com/guide/h_customizeui.html
- scroll to the bottom - there are screenshots of button editor - you can even 
paint
your own buttons using built-in image editor)
