Bob --
You are right it is a closed end fund.  But as far as this discussion is concerned, it doesn't matter.  MSF is also a closed end fund, but Amibroker retrieves it just fine from QuotesPlus.

I too, am having the same problem that Ken observed and I just performed the Retrieve procedure Mark H described (with both stocks and mutual funds checked).  Didn't fix it for me.  This seems to be a problem that only some of us are having.  BTW, I am running AB Pro 4.80.1.

again, it's a Closed End fund, not a Mutual fund.

ERH is there in AB in the QP3 database

You either need to re-populate or fresh

By the way it has been on fire for the last week or so

I have no problem seeing that symbol. You may need to refresh the symbols. Under File menu/Database Settings/Configure/Retrieve (check mutual funds box first).

I normally do that every weekend to synchonize the symbols.

Subject: [amibroker] Quotes Plus Mutual Funds in AB

I am a new user of Quotes Plus to drive data to AB (vs TC2000) and I have been doing ok with the transition.

I just now retrieved all of the mutual funds I have been downloading, and can use them just like any stock symbol.

There is an interesting closed end fund named ERH (Evergreen) which is in the QP database (I can plot it using the QP charting program), but Amibroker can not see it.

Any QP data users here who could see whether you can see/plot ERH in Amibroker from the QP database?  If you can, can you speculate why the symbol does not show up on mine.

I have reloaded AB (but not rebooted the computer), but I wonder why that would make a difference.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ken
