I am using eSignal right now, but as I have got Bloomberg available as
well, it seems a waste of money (sort of) to spend about EUR 250 on
eSignal. Especially the eSignal coding cost quite some time as the
unsatisfactory way they adapt stock split and other corporate actions
as well as the rather large number of bad ticks. And there help desk is
almost nonexistent.
So, using Bloomberg seens natural in AB, but I sounds like a problem
that only Tomasz can tackle, perhaps by writing a good plugin that
allows for historical data. As Bloomberg has a good API I believe that
historical data should be available without too much trouble for
someone used to dealing with such problem.
