In case my experience can help anyone else I offer it. Migrating to a new Vista computer was painless since I followed the recommended steps. Here in brief is what I did.
1. Install latest AmiBroker update on source machine 2. Install AmiBroker on new machine (then install update so both have exact same version) 3. Used BeyondCompare to ensure both AmiBroker program directories were the same (they were except for one file which I moved over from the source machine) 4. Created new database on target machine and populated the folder with data from the source machine (same for other databases) 5. Installed Premium Data fresh 6. Tweaked all the menu and toolbar settings etc. and set the program to use Vistas' Segoe font It just worked well. Notes: I had a small surprise when the charts weren't filled properly after I loaded a layout from the source machine but saving a template from the source machine as ".chart" and loading that on the new machine restored the layout. Impressions: AmiBroker in Vista looks gorgeous and is wickedly fast (my old machine was 4 years old and I thought AmiBroker ran fast on it but the new install is smokin'). Nice job making this program so flexible and sensible Tomasz
