A reminder that http://www.amibrokertradersproject.com/4501.html is a temporary site that explains what is going on with the new community project.
The intention is to allow people, from the AB community, to add any ideas, or criticism, that they want to, in an efficient way and without cluttering up this forum. This is the last chance for anyone to influence the initial direction that the site will take and have any input into the software/system design it will use. I have had some feedback, from people that I respect, that they like the content of the UKB but they favour a more interactive approach. To that end it looks as if an AmiBroker Wiki will be the first 'cab off the rank' for the ATP. People also asked for 'concrete examples' or 'points of difference' that the new site will offer, compared to exisiting sites. A Wiki is one, and some other possibles are discussed in this weeks newsletter: http://www.amibrokertradersproject.com/10201.html I am still looking for more ideas! Note that I am keeping Tomasz informed of progress on a weekly basis. brian_z --- In [email protected], "brian_z111" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > As many of you would know I was involved in the joint venture that > dreamed up, and started, the UKB. > > Two points about it: > > - first I would never have become involved except for the fact that > Tomasz and/or Herman showed a belief in me that my resume didn't > warrant. > > - second I am proud of it but I am also a realist and it is a failure > (the community voted with their feet). > > I learnt a lot from the experience and I have started a new project > that eliminates some of the weaknesses of the UKB and adds some new > strengths (IMO). > > The project is self-explanatory. > > Please see: > > www.amibrokertradersproject.com > > > Note that I alone am responsible for the project, up to this stage. > I had preliminary discussions on the subject with AB/Tomasz and > please note that IT IS NOT AN AMIBROKER PROJECT and IT IS NOT > SUPPORTED BY AMIBROKER. > > The site currently has basic but adequate communication facilities > and if there is any support around for the project the coms will be > ramped up so please - ALL DISCUSSION WILL BE CARRIED OUT AT THE ATP > SITE > > Hope you like it. > > If not I get to spend more time at the beach this year. > > brian_z >
