Keith, I know it is an overkill but I use Visual Studio.Net. I use it for other things anyway, so I use it for editing AFL as well.
I edit them as c# files. This way all c# language feature are useable.
So it highlights () and [] and {} pairs. For me these are the most
common typos. You can search these pairs as well, so I can eliminate
these error fast.
I create/edit c# files. When I'm done a click a custom menu item to
deploy (copy and rename) these files to AB directories.
