Does someone have a recommended configuration for fast walk forward optimization. I'm doing three variables with 500 combinations with monthly steps over 70 years of data and taking about 5 hours on pentium 4 dual core 3 ghz machine with 2 gb of ram using windows xp.
Looks like it's time for serious upgrade, but I don't have experience with configuring more than a simple workstation. Help? Thanks, Mike
