First, in my haste I have a typo in the title - should be EMA * 100.  Here is 
the code used to create the chart:

  There is something goofy all right. I rewrote the formulas and put them one 
indicator and subtracted one from the other and the delta is 0 at 5 places. But 
when I put them in separate indicators they give different results. really odd.
