Hello, Thanks for your reply, yes if you import one stocks data from another data base, to the original corrupt, then in my experience that might not help.
I gave up and imported my trading computer data base to the back up computer data base and the funny thing is the back up still has disappearing quotes while the main trading does not with both using the start of the same data base!! Two days will 'shrink' to one day on every tick and then like magic the shrinking will stop at the 9:30 open of that particular stock. Today had 8 stocks do that, some days just 5 stocks with another 14 stocks collecting up to 12 days of data with out problems. Have sent videos to support. So tomorrow will start on a virgin computer data collecting then copy my formula's over then see what happens. If all the above is correct then I suspect something is not right in the main program. I have not much of experience with AmiQuote, however in case of AmiBroker it does seem to happen. I will my experience with similar problem below. In these situations we will see the Ticker files in Window Explorer, and may be tickers in Symbol Tree in AmiBroker; however, the size of files on disk will be around half KB. And data seems to be gone. One solution to minimize the problem is to have a small number of Symbols loaded at a time. It can be done via Tools > Preferences > data > "In-memory Cache Size". It could have some other repurcusions for other usages, however it does seem to minimize the damage in case of improper shutdown. The problem gets worse if you update your backup with damaged files. Let's hope Mr. Tomasz Janeczko investigates the problem further and gives some solution. In the meantime we should have backups and take adequate precautions before taking backups. With Regards.
