Just gone through nightmares with AB and Vista, now on Win 7 with no problems, So: First: what model AB are you running? Between 5.20, 5.26 and 5.29 I personally think their where 'issues' between them. Second: what directory is AB installed in? All programs files or Program Files (x86)? Mine ended up split between the two and TJ has posted to keep them straight meaning if 32 bit then program files and x86 if 64 bit!! Third: If you get things working and then have problems do a system restore. Worked under vista but not under Win7 of all things. Fourth: If you have two computers, transferring files between the two can cause lets say mix ups (on user part)! I.e. the bad computer file gets on good computer, I think I might have done that. I've basically done what was suggested. I think it's some sort of insidiuous Vista problem which is currently rendering my Amibroker unusable on Vista. I've deleted every directory tree that I can think of, performed a clean install, and I still get sock codes (but not data) for stocks that should not be there! AB and/or Vista are retaining data somewhere and I don't know where! Suspecting that it might be a user permission thing, but I'm not sure. If anyone has experience with AB / Vista please let me know! Zip AmiBroker and get zip file on second PC. 2. Delete AmiBroker on second PC or otherwise clean it up by at least deleting databases and formulas directories. 3. Do not open AmiBroker on second PC as of yet. Rather, install full version of AmiBroker on new PC now and after step 2 to kind of clean ups stuff. Then, load any update on second PC as well to make consistent with original PC from #1. 4. Open AmiBroker on second PC. You will be fine UNLESS you have AmiBroker in different location on second PC.
