Thanks TJ, reefbreak, Jerry I installed AB into the Users directory. It's good enough for now. UAC still mucking me around, and it seems that nothing I can do can clean up that original area in "Program Files" - and that bugs me - it's clearly a UAC issue so I'll have to learn a bit more about the UAC, though I am loath to do so.
But I've spent enough time mucking about with it for now. Thanks again guys. You *MUST* run *full setup* (not upgrade) on Vista and Win 7. Setup contains so called "manifest" file that tells Windows to ask user for permission to write to program files (so called "UAC" prompt) and only if you agree to UAC prompt the program will be allowed to write to Program Files directory.Best regards, If you want "straight manual copies" on Vista and Win 7 you must not use protected directories (those under UAC control), or turn off UAC.
