Progster, Sorry to hear about these issues. I personally haven't upgraded R (2.9) nor the DCOM server (2.50) since 2009 (all works fine for me).
As I stated in the introductory docs, we can't support the plug-in actively but may decide later to upgrade it to work with the latest versions of these two.
