Ken,

Try one tick instead of 400 for your chart settings.

I am going through the same problem today, trying to set up a 400 tick AB
chart, but from the DTN IQFeed tick data (I also have TOS). The TOS is sending
one 400 tick candle, not 400 separate ticks.

The IQFeed + AB tick database does not seem to have a concept of anything other
than single ticks AFAIK. This of course poses a problem for me to backtest 3
years of ES futures data on a 400 tick chart. I would need about half a
billion ticks in the database. That is not practical at all. with 400 tick
bars in the database, it would be a more manageable number like 1-2 million.

AB can convert a tick database to anything, but a liquid product like ES needs
over 500,000 ticks to cover one 24 hour period. I think that one of the
settings should be able to display the 400 tick candle as a single unit.

BR,
Dennis
