Hello,

From the description it looks like you have incorrect settings in
File->Database Settings.
To get correct N-tick charts, "Base time interval" MUST be 1-tick. Create a NEW
database,
don't change existing one and set Base Time interval to 1-tick and only then
n-tick charts will
be OK. Then of course you need to use View->Intraday->400 T to select your
custom tick
interval for viewing.

Best regards,

Could someone who uses tick candles (from any source) please share with me the Intraday settings you use in the Preferences window? I am still trying to get a display of 400 tick candles to display right in Amibroker and can not do it. Admittedly, my problem may have to do with using the TOS (ThinkorSwim) DDE interface, but I seem to be getting information to flow from my TOS feed into AB, it is just that the candles do not display correctly. I have my TOS 400tick chart open in one monitor and the AB screen showing just price -- set to 400 tick interval and candles -- in the other monitor and they behave and look different. Watching the data come into the Quote editor, and it seems to look right and match what I see on the screen in TOS. So I must have something incorrectly set for collecting 400 of these tick points and sum them into a 400 tick candle.
The Preferences/Intraday window seems to be where this is set.
I set 400 in the Custom N Tick window. The pulldown has three choices (Ticks, R-Range, V) and I selected Ticks. I unchecked "Align minute bars to regular market hours", and I selected "Time of first tick inside bar" for Time stamp of compressed intraday bar. But the candle does not look at all like what it should. For example, my TOS for this morning has 15 or 20 candles from 8:30 to the now 9:04 time stamp while AB shows just 2 candles over the same period.
Any suggestions for me?
Thanks,
Ken
