 Jim, my 5100 has a solid 100w on Phone and 130w out
on CW. I took these readings with a bird 43.
Perhaps the multiplier tubes (6AQ5) are weak or
possibly needing a little alignment.

 I must be nuts. I found the 5100 a breeze to work on.
Maybe it was because I spent the previous two days
fighting an alignment on a beater NC300...
