I need a coupla-three 808 tubes. If you have one or more to spare, then I'd like to hear from you. Alternatively, I can use Eimac 50T or 75TL.
This 30's rack TX I am restoring (he of the many meter holes) has a single-ended Eimac 50T in the final. But that tube is just too rare. The few examples I have seen go by on eBay eventually sold for $60 each or so--too much. I don't want to drop back to the 35T and the 100TH or TL is too big of a jump for the modulator and power supplies. But 808's would work. So I am looking at the 808 circuit in the 1939 ARRL Handbook page 191. It uses B&W TVL coils too and I have some of those. But I don't got no 808's. I just need one to run and a spare or 2. Any help appreciated. I have other tubes to trade or US greenbacks. 73, Don Merz, N3RHT DISCLAIMER: The information contained in this e-mail may be confidential and is intended solely for the use of the named addressee.
