Hi Ron,
That's right - you can run a killowatt input up in Canada! If you really
want to make a splash on the band (with the highest power output possible
for your KW input), want to have superior audio and want to spend small
money, build a class E rig. It will be simpler than your tube transmitter
and will run more power because of the high efficiency.

I will lend guidance and assistance if you decide to go the class E
route. You will have the most power class E Amateur transmitter in the
world, as here in the 'States, we're limited to about 350 watts.
By the way, you can do 1kw with 16 MOSFETs (each MOSFET costs $2.50!) in
the RF amplifier and 4 MOSFETs in the modulator. Audio wise, no one will
be able to touch you, and your power output for 1KW input will be around
900 watts!
